The lunge is a great workout (when done properly) regardless of your age! The solution to any pain caused while doing a lunge might surprise you - it’s all in the footwork! By keeping your feet planted and stable, the rest of your muscles are able to function properly. This means that you will get more benefit from your lunge, reduce any pain in your knees/back, and lower your chances of having any issues down the line due to improper form.
