Yes rowdy le tank, I 'invented' it, I not seen any chocolate feathers before except for thick ones using a mold but I wanted thin real looking ones so I experimented a few times to come up with this technique.

Thank you so much for posting this technique. I made these tonight and they worked out perfectly. I found that the textures were achieved easier when the chocolate has had a chance to set up a little bit.

I just made these for cupcakes. I showed my sister and her face was priceless. In a worried sounding voice she asked why I put feathers in my cupcakes. So did my brother. lol The thing is they look nothing like real feathers, I know I have birds. But lol thanks so much Ann for the decorating ideas!! God bless!!

Hi vanilladrop16, chocolate feathers were a request so I just did a few experiments until I came up with a method that I was happy with. When I was little we were not allowed to watch any TV so I think that helped me and my sister become very creative.

Hi handiann, if you are having heaps of trouble tempering chocolate then you can always practice with 'fake' chocolate. If you click on CHOCOLATE TUTORIALS playlist in the description below the video you will find a video called what chocolate to use that explains the difference. It does not taste as good but is a quick alternative while you are learning.

Hi MyFairDiva, I use non-stick baking paper and the chocolate doesn't stick to it so it is easy to lift them off without breaking.
