Here is how to make your own candy melts 1. Break the chocolate into its pieces. Melt the white chocolate in the microwave (I needed ca. 1 minute for 200 g of broken down white chocolate). Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. 2. Add food color until you have the desired shade. A note about color: because white chocolate is not white, but really more yellow consider that in your color choices. It is easy to make teal and green tones that already have a hint of yellow in it. I tried purple and it turned out very dark because I needed a lot of food color to get out of the brown phase. Next time I will try to make pink ones. 3. Fill the colored chocolate into a one way piping bag. Once all the chocolate is filled in completely, cut the tip to make a small opening. 4. Start piping little dollops onto the parchment paper. 5. Wait until completely dry before moving them into an air tight container or gift bag.

For the Wilton candy melts I know they don't always melt super thin but if you add vegetable oil to it (once it's already melted) it's thins it out perfectly and does not change the taste! I use that trick all the time for when I make cake pops! Trust me I know because one time I melted a whole bag of the candy melts and added water because I thought it would thin it out but it just made a big thick mess!

Hi!!! Can you please tell me,which online shopping app has this different colour chocolate candies????? I live in India and trust me I've never seen these all here so please help me to find it!

@@jenphilip6299 hey if you live in india then you can actually but compound chocolate in baking stores or in amazon.in. These are basically the same things but it is coloured. You can buy food colours and colour them. It will be a lot cheaper this way. Candy melts might be a bit costly and not easily available but if you by compound chocolate you could buy one whole kilogram of chocolate for like 300 rupees as I saw online but it might be even lower in stores. You can search up hindi videos about compound chocolate and many tell you the pricings and where to find them.

So, I've been using vegetable oil lately to thin my chocolate (I read it online somewhere...) and it's been working okay. Don't get me wrong, my cakepops are still a wee bit soft, but I've had some sitting at room temperature for a few days now and they're doing alright.. They also taste really good still. I was just wondering if you might know the reason why that is? Obviously the shortening would work better because (as you mentioned) it dries hard, but would Vegetable oil work in a pinch?
