Thanks for taking the time to explain things. I am much more willing to stick with a program of I understand the cause and fix and all the why's in-between. I've learned more from watching your videos than from the doctors and PT I've seen so far. Ready to start heading, thanks!

I'm really grateful for this channel. I just went to a physical therapist today for my chondromalacia patella, and most of the exercises were quad-strengthening exercises. 😅

im 15 nearly 16 and i went to a doctor after 7+ months of every day knee pain and i told them about it and they immediately told me it was chondramalacia patella from growing and overuse. I knew it didnt sound right since im young theres no way my knees would be getting overused from the amount of activities i do so thank you for making this video and giving me hope about curing my knee pain

Hi Lifewish, We're so sorry to hear that you've been suffering from knee pain for over 7 months and weren't given a solution for it. 🥺 It can be incredibly frustrating and dismissive. We hope that you can find some relief soon. We’re glad you found the video helpful. It’s important to listen to your body and get the right diagnosis. We hope you find relief soon and can get back to doing what you love. If you’re interested, we have a playlist on knee pain that might offer some useful tips and exercises. Patella Pain help playlist: “Patella Pain Syndrome Help” kzitem.info/door/PLJVIPiFvv1maaTNzf_HA4977E_r4k9r2X Start with one or two exercises, beginning with the smallest range of motion and the lowest intensity. As you feel stronger, you can gradually increase both the range of motion and intensity. It’s best to do these exercises every day throughout the day. Aim to tire out the muscle without losing form or control. Consistency is key. Always avoid working through pain; soreness and mild discomfort are normal, but pain is not. Take care, and best wishes for your recovery!

Had painful knees as a teenager, was told I would grow out of it, I was horse riding for up to 6 hrs a day, hit my 20’s was told chondromalacia patella, have lived with it and learnt to adapt everyday life, now early 50’s, slight arthritis, a couple of spurs, knees grind, need to walk about 10 steps before I can walk properly, it’s now effecting my hips, my quads are good and strong enough but not too strong, just fed up with being in constant discomfort, can’t kneel, squat or even crouch

I’m 64 and just developed a left knee issue. The X-ray revealed no arthritis. My knee is swollen and this inflammation goes down to my ankle. I’m perplexed. I’m blessed to have a skilled PT assisting me with my healing. Thank you for this information!

I have used your exercises very successfully to help with severe central and foraminal stenosis L 4/5 and lesser in foraminal L3/4. Pretty good shape for 72 other than that as if that’s not enough! So now on right kneecap right at bottom center when I walk on flat hard asphalt, store floors sidewalks feels like weird pressure building under that central bottom outer edge on kneecap and then popping snap like cracking a knuckle, I swing knee circularly to feel a little relief like i am resetting cartilage femur articulation maybe. Doc said I do have some arthritis on that knee when I was in for the other knee with patella tendonitis but he said that joint looked great for 72. This side arthritis probably from an old car accident 40 yrs ago never really consistently bothered me stepped on rare occasion like . I hike alot, a hundred miles or more a month in summer in Sierra Nevada mountains on steep trails doesn’t bother me a bit up and down only on flat ground. What could this possibly be and which exercises might be the best? I do exercises every two days for strengthening glutes, hamstrings, abdominals and obliques but I also strengthen my front and lateral quads. I know lighten up on quads! but if it is arthritis, wouldn’t it hurt on uphills and the downhill too? I’m much more suspect of Patella tracking out of whack? Any take on this to suggest which video exercise program is best on a guess?

Hey I am 40 next month and was doing a lot of dancing floor work and rehab for feet issues that led me to do all my workouts on my knees. The X-rays came back fine they said “minimal degenerative changes relative to normal wear and tear” but my left knee has this patella pain with crepitus and I’ve been doing your exercises and swimming. My right knee has a small meniscus tear which I feel is on the outside. I’m curious if there’s any exercises that aren’t aligned to treat both knees?? Since they’re two different things. I do your tailgate swings and even though my knees when from completely fine (Oct 18th at the dr) to these injuries (Oct 21st) I feel they were from my body overcompensating and my deep knee bending and crawling and extra pressure on the knees so I’ve been doing the tailgate swings and all the stuff to treat these as acute to avoid chronic issues. Any advice would be helpful!!!! Thank you so much. My orthotics are helping the walking but I have intermetatarsal bursitis and I can’t walk without my orthotics and even them only short periods….my body is getting hit and I still have dreams of dancing again ❤

Doctor told me I have runner's knee. I haven't run a day in my life. Was a knock-knee'd kid and fractured my right ankle twice. Right knee sounds like a bowl of rice krispies. Can't kneel on it, do lunges or squats, or walk down stairs without going sideways and holding handrail. Losing weight helped somewhat.

I’m really confused because my patellar OA and significant maltracking issues have been put down to a weak VMO and I’ve been told to strengthen. It helped to a degree but if I increase exercise too much I think it triggers inflammation and my patellar map tracks again!! Should I still avoid quad/VMO exercises? Thanks

I do have either Patellofemoral Pain or Chondromalacia pain in my right knee, also have some issues with my meniscus in both knees. Iv'e been super unactive for several years, in my situation with very small thigh muscles and overall strength would this still apply to me? The not workout quad strategy, because that's what my Physio had me doing for 2 weeks now .. Would really appreciate an answer sir!

So apparently I have now patella tendonitis but I have a lack of cartilage too, is being 2 years dealing with this and after 3 specialists, lost of physical therapy and steroid shots, now I have pain on the front part of my knee. I’m a server so even walking now is almost imposible I’m 38 I exercise 5 days a week and I used to run, but all this starter after a bad fall on ice. How can I get some help from doctors??? And PRP injection or gel injection will help me on something? Because doctors never mention it

Hello Miriam, seems like you have a fixable issue. If your patella is being irritated then possibly your quads are over active. Those quads need to stop turning on "all the time " to let your knee heal. My boyfriend just had surgery for torn meniscus and apparently he had waited so long (due to lack of insurance) that the meniscus had started to fuse to the acl. Can’t find anything about it. Fortunately it was repaired and his pain has decreased significantly but was wondering how common this is.

Hi Angie, We're glad to hear that your boyfriend's surgery went well and that his pain has decreased. While the situation he experienced is less common, meniscus tears can indeed lead to various complications if left untreated. Fusing with the ACL is a rare occurrence, but it highlights the importance of addressing meniscus issues in a timely manner. In case you are interested we do have additional information and exercises in a playlist we have compiled for knee meniscus surgery help just in case there are issues that come up later. You can check it out here: “Knee Meniscus Surgery Help” kzitem.info/door/PLJVIPiFvv1maIj5ge4oSQTqVs3RzwpqwV Thank you for sharing your boyfriend's journey with us! Hello, I am an 18-year-old girl who has been dealing with this pain for three years, and a year ago I got better with corrective exercises, but again I got severe knee pain from running on slopes and walking a lot. I used to be an athlete and this life is very difficult for me and my English is not so good. I went to 5 doctors so far, but none of them helped me. I am really tired of this life. I can't bear that my life is over at the age of 18 because I can't do anything😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 I wish. You can help me
