You can do both. It’s not one or the other. I did both. It’s hard work. You don’t have to give up the job. That’s her choice. I made mine. I’m happy with my choices. She seems happy with hers.

You can absolutely do both! You just need to know what will work best for your family - for me, staying in that job would have meant sacrificing my mental health and that's why I left. The flexibility afforded with entrepreneurship works better for me. One of my biggest goals is helping more mamas gain the financial freedom to make the choice that optimizes their happiness. So glad you're happy with your choices :)

Youre so sweet! We're working on producing more videos on a regular basis. We do love doing the live shows and may do them once in a while, but we need to get some other things produced for KZitem and our Website before we can do that.

Yes I would, because no money can help my child grow in this world and be a righteous man in this world. A man who will provide for his family his wife and kids, and morals in God word. I don't want my son hooked on drugs, a homosexual, with tattoo, smoking, cursing, and disobedience to the law and in jail.

How do individuals do this path without college? When their parents cannot afford sending them to college? This sounds great if you have all the perfect situation. She's stating that the jobs they started out with are not the typical everyday jobs. He's talking about free lancing. How about those working in the $7.00 to $10.00 per hour range working. 🤔

Tamson Darland You don’t become a hedge fund manager without a college education. If your parents make under $60,000 a year, you will max out the financial aid. Also, work the whole time you are in college. You have to be wicked smart to be a hedge fund manager. If you are smart enough to do that, you would be smart enough to figure out how to afford college.

There is an immense amount of privilege in my story and that privilege - combined with smart money decisions - afforded me my flexibility. But I know life doesn't look like that for most people. For those looking to start a business and work from home who aren't in my situation, it's going to be a matter of starting your business as a side hustle first. Deciding what you want to do - teach online, coach, write, whatever - and finding time in your day to do it, until you've built up enough of a bridge to transition. The demand for freelance writers, virtual assistants, editors, etc is immense (especially if you can hit deadlines and project guidelines) and the cost of getting started is very minimal. And for people who aren't interested in entrepreneurship? It's a matter of reflecting on the work they truly want to do and the lifestyles they want and making use of free education (the library, online), networking online and in community groups, and being willing to take small risks - applying for new jobs, asking for a raise - that move them closer to that lifestyle. It's a journey. And while I won't pretend for a second that frugal living and financial education will solve the ills of trying to live in 2019 on $7 to $10 an hour, you'll at least be able to avoid pitfalls that make things even harder. I wish you the best in your journey, Tamson!

Tamson, there is always a way to make a decent living. Perhaps you could look for a job on a college campus. Start with a part time job, do excellent work, then work into a full time job on campus that will allow you to get your college degree for pennies. This can happen.

Sometimes pursuing your dream and your passion does seem like madness ... like Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak - building computers in his mom's garage! It's not logical to most of us. Check out this list of people who made it big without a big education - many people viewed them as strange, out of step with reality ... utterly mad. moneysmartfamily.com/blog/successful-college-drop-outs/
