It takes guts to cut up a $1,000 carbon rear fender! You are a brave man. LOL

I just don’t like the angle. The side is ok. The back should have been lower. Keep the same angle as the bags. Level instead of angling upward.

Interesting perspective. I like the idea though. 😬

First-off, major improvement Michael from stock, it has an awesome look and goes with the theme of performance. I initially thought the angle of the cut might be as another gent mentioned, lower and even with the bottom saddlebag lid, but nonetheless, you made yours and killed it, great job!

@@danbiggs2139 ❤️🤘🏼I love y'alls feedback. Hopefully we start seeing some more shorty fenders to market. A few days after I did mine a few brands started to surface factory made shorty fenders so I'm loving the new concepts from these brands, giving people more options. 😬👍🏼

As Ruth from Ozark would say, “What the f’ing f! Good job with the cutting … that’s one thing I would never consider doing! Does that bracket provide any lateral rigidity for the bags?
@MichaelBertini
2 жыл бұрын
🤣 I heard that one in my head. Thanks! I think the bracket does provide lateral rigidity, but even after removing it I still couldn't move the bags around by hand, so that was my confirmation I would be ok if I removed it. But I'm sure it decreases the lateral rigidity of the bags.

are you just going to leave the license plate where it is?
@MichaelBertini

I'm still contemplating that; not sure if this will be my forever license plate holder. I have someone sending me one that goes in the middle, but let's see. Not sure yet. 😅🤘🏼

Love the look of the chopped fender. Can this be done to a stock fender as well?
@MichaelBertini

Thanks! Yes, it can be done on the stock fender as well and it will shed a bunch of weight. 🤘🏼

Exposing that rear tire makes it look pretty rowdy looking !!! Especially with all the carbon plus resivors canisters .

@@ttcnc3755 Yeah, now the only way people will see it is if they come up to my bike when it's parked. Unless I put them on the back of the bags, but I don't know yet.
