You’re right, I’m prone to this kind of delay. This is really a video about Chris Eldridge as much as it is about a picking technique!

Only thing is you explain pick stroke theory by saying it makes alternate picking easier then you use an example where you don't alternate pick

I chose that solo specifically because it isn't a typical down-up-down-up-down-up melodic line. In cases like this, where very specific beats are accented and only certain phrases or notes require alternate picking, using pick stroke theory to keep the pick moving makes it feel and sound more fluid.

Hi Robert, I always make songs alone by myself and I made parallel parking song to teach some permit drivers by using DADGAD tuning: Maybe I will teach you one day, I will be teaching you one day and day. Do you make&write your own songs every year?

Hi Michael - I'd love to hear your parallel parking song! I love alternate tunings like DADGAD, and I've done quite a few videos about them. Here's one where I sing and play Bob Dylan's Blowin' in the Wind in DADGAD, by using a partial capo that raises it one whole step to EBEABE. kzitem.info/news/bejne/zGyZza6PgH5llJwsi=ZvUqQYkUOnsJC7nt As for writing songs, I wrote my first in 1972 (!) and I've never stopped. Here's the opening track from my recent EP Life Inside. It's a chant called "Om," and it features 10 of my own voice layered into a choir: kzitem.info/news/bejne/wKGXvKuokmWqp44si=XK752bXfvKSZIwuZ
