Pennie is a legend. One of the BEST drummers out there, I personally believe he is up there with Mike Portnoy and Gene Hogland. He has such a great technical ablity. Amazing! Even peforming on a pratice pad is epic!

Chris everything you suggest in the warm ups are great-there is one small problem with warming up on the type of drum pad. this is a very hard surface pad and and are very friendly to bounces and a crisp sound. This does not always have the same response as a real snare drums in most cases. Some people do tune them this tight(orchestral mostly but others for sure) so it is not typically a realistic surface for a "performance" situation. Your thoughts? Could it be suggested to practice on a softer spongier surface pad for more realistic tensions in real life?

@TheGetAtMeDawg i dunno dude, u make a fair point, but that was the highest rated comment on this vid and it seems like alot of people agree with me. but im not really a full on drum line player, im a kit guy who messes around with some corps style stuff now and again, so ill take your word on it. could you recommend some really good drumline technique vids then?

@sharpasabowlingball Oh, look at your wit! Going for the "silly american" reply! Dont try to act like that wasnt your intentions, and that you tried to hide behind it at the end with a casual "Oh well, whatever works". It still implied that you are judging him and his performance. Which is just amusing all around.

Left hand looks stiff. Totally forcing it and the right hand pulses. Not even and technique isn't great. Just saying - he can play though.
