I'm so sorry. I hope your better. Thank you so much! People put Christine down but it's one of my favorites. I discovered you only a year ago so I love the re-upload!

Get well soon! And dont buy a new copy of Christine the book. The current publisher cheaped out so none of the song quotes are at the start of the chapters

Pablo Escobar should’ve got in a writing credit on Maximum Overdrive for all the cocaine. Stephen King was on.

Just finished reading the book for the first time. Have loved the movie for years, my dad showed me this gem when I was but a preteen, still holds up today and still a hardcore Steven King fan and John Carpenter fan!

It really fits into the "I got my license/ car" feeling that makes teens sort of lose their minds for a little bit

I think Kings thing for cars came when he almost got killed by a wreckless driver as a child much like Bill in It.

1. Yes 2. Not my favorite or what I would consider the best of King or Carpenter's works, but still worthy of its iconic status 3. Don't know. I have a few ideas, but those are dependent on the person and their tastes

Get well soon. I'd recommend Poltergeist (1982) and The Innocents (1961) to people just getting into horror. BTW: Keith Gordon is now a director (he has directed episodes of shows like Dexter).

I hope things get better for you.By the way,the horror movie I would have people watch first who are unacquainted with the horror genre I’d Ilsa,She-Wolf of the SS.Teach ‘em to swim by throwing ‘em in the deep end I say,if you take my meaning.Actually I’m kidding.I haven’t even seen that movie and actually have no intention of doing so.I guess a good horror movie for beginners would be Dark Night of the Scarecrow.Scary,well-acted,with good characters,an understandable motive behind the killings,and-as in Christine-kills that are not graphically shown but are pretty brutal.

Hope you're doing well! As for movies to show non-horror fans, there's so many choices I have in mind but a great one (for me at least) would be the 1988 version of The Blob; not only is it well acted with likable characters to root for, but it also has a great "small town community" vibe to it. Then there's of course the creature effects for The Blob itself, which are probably some of the best that the 80s had to offer. Is it gory? Definitely, but it helps that the deaths are moreso cartoonish/over the top and that you actually care for most of the victims. There's probably better choices out t, but that's just what came to mind.

I am reading Christine the 40th anniversary edition book, witch starts out different thin the movie but isn't that the way it goes when it comes to book vs movie.
