Daaaaaannngggg Dude! That looks pretty damn good in there. Helluva job fellas! Wouldn't have thought it would fit in there that well. I get it though, with the cost of repro OE stuff, you've gotta be more resourceful these days. I like how you were able to do it and not disturb it so much that you couldn't go back to an OE dash. That's cool. Very Nice work fellas!

We have "all you can carry" at the junkyard here, it gets interesting lol. I was wondering what you were going to come up with for the interior without a parts car, that turned out nice! Personally I'm not a fan of modern interiors in old cars but you guys sure put in a ton of work and made that dash look like it was made for it!
@CCAutoWorks

That dash looks real good. You do some awesome work. The prices on _everything_ have gone insane. As much as hate California the large population makes Marketplace pretty good place for used and lots of times new parts. I picked up those CPP 1inch drop leaf springs for $150. They still had the tags on them 😆. $280 saved if I got them new. I need to do a quick video it's been to long and I've done s few things, it's past time.

@@CCAutoWorks More content I guess 🤷♂️. I've seen plenty of videos from guys like Andy Cruz where they put the new leaf springs in that are supposed to lower the car and it actually raises it because the old springs are so worn out😆. Knowing my luck I'll add 3 inches to what I've already got. I've been curious and if you don't want to answer it's all good. What do you and little brother do for work? I work in the refining industry and I've met tons of people from Texas. They love that they can work 84 hours a week for 6 months out of the year, and that leaves the other 6 months for projects like cars, houses, boats, etc.

I love anything custom like that, I think a late model dash for anything looks killer. Better to have a dash too wide than too narrow, pretty hard to add plastic and keep the look clean

It looks good in there honestly. You could go with the Mach 1 door panels and replace the wood grain with something that would match the dash trim. Maybe you can use some of the wiring from that car too? The dash wiring for a 69 is like $1000. Totally ridiculous. If you decide to go with stick shift, you will eventually hate the manual steering in town. The 69 was uncomfortable to turn around in a parking lot as you are keeping one hand on the steering wheel and the other on the shifter all the while trying not to stall out. Way worse than a tractor lol. A manual with automatic transmission isn't near as bad because you can just keep both hands on the wheel. With manual you can throw horsepower at it and it won't fail you like the original power steering would because they pulled apart from torque. I'm talking like 450hp plus. This build of yours is turning out sweet and I'm loving it so far!

That looks great, good job guys! Definitely an innovative solution to your overpriced dilemma very good thinking to save a but load of $$, I like it. I don't think very many people can beat that, a couple hundred instead of after all said and done with the interior what around $10,000? I also wouldn't mind doing that little bit extra work to save $9,800! 😎

@@CCAutoWorks I got that 71 Corvette to the house yesterday. I borrowed a fancy camera to do some filming, I musta done something wrong because I can't even get my laptop to recognize the footage. It was an adventure man, full of typical stuff when you try and start a car that hasn't ran in 20ish years. I'll do a quick walk around today, I'll start it and explain how things went yesterday.

Hey that looks really good. Great job but I have a couple questions if you don’t mind me asking. I’m not to familiar with the 69 but I have a 68 that I’m building and I had thought about putting a modern interior in it as well. One of the questions I had is on the 68 the bottom of the cowl is welded to the top of the dash and is part of the window frame. Is it like that on a 69? If so how did you overcome that hurdle? My next question would be what type of steering are you putting in it? The one I have is a Speer lol but awesome job. If I can get something like that in mine that would save me a lot of cash. Thank you for your time and Merry Christmas!
@CCAutoWorks
Жыл бұрын
The only thing on the 69 thats in the way is the cowl has a drop down box for the wiper motor and as far as steering we're going to try to put a electric power steering unit out of a Saturn or Prius I've never been around a 67/68 so not sure how I would go about making the room for the new dash but we didn't have to cut any of the original car
