I think the thing I enjoy most about these videos is how you have maintained such an enduring and warm friendship through the ages. I always end your videos in a better mood than when I started. Anyone can make an outdoor adventure video on KZitem (and do) but your vibe is BEST of all and of course, the hikes and camping w food (which is best of all!).

I think Robby and Thomas videos are my favorite of all the AA videos. I aspire to be a Robby in my hiking adventures, but I know in my heart I'm actually a Bryan. Colorado is just stunning though, and you did a great job of capturing some of that in these last few.

I did my first 14’er this last summer with my buddy who lives in Colorado…Huron Peak. Also one of the easier 14’ers. We dispersed camped the day before and I filmed the whole thing. Great trip. Only when I got back to Minnesota a couple days later I became a victim of H.A.C.E. It’s a delayed altitude sickness that can happen to anyone at anytime who comes home from being at high altitudes. I literally had a seizure in my bedroom as I was putting my video together. Never had a seizure before so I just pulled my way through it not knowing. Doctor said half the people that get HACE die from it. I was lucky. I knew that when I came home and I would just do one flight of stairs, I felt like I was back on the mountain gasping for air so I knew something wasn’t right and then that happened. If you come home ever from Colorado and still are gasping for air just walking around normal, get checked!

When hiking in Colorado you are not starting near sea level. Come to Washington where the lowest level is 1,600’ . The Wonderland Trail goes all of the way around the mountain. You might enjoy it.

Great work on sharing your adventure. I trust your story telling. "Man vrs Wild" , fun to see the places he went. But the one where he parachutes into Iron Mountain Lakes south of Yosemite near Fresno Dome? Well, lets just say there was a lot of "creative story telling" there. The area is beautiful , even more so than the camera captures. Thanks again for all the work you do to produce such quality productions, it shows.

Sherman is okay but Mt. Elbert is much more interesting with wooded sections and better scenery from the top. Ya gotta get a pizza at High Mountain Pies in Leadville afterwards, but Tennessee Pass Cafe is good too.

So I had to look up how much that is in meters and I am now a bit jealous. It's a little over 4.2k meters and I've always wanted to cross the 4000 mark, but highets so far I've been was 3700. This is also pretty flat for a mountian that high, the ones I saw in switzerland were way spikier/cliffier... if those are words.

You know you're feeling the elevation when a dozen tiny men are jumping up and down on your chest so you can't breathe and you really regret eating that egg mcmuffin for breakfast. Rule #1 Always have a warm hat, gloves, extra socks, plenty of water and some good snacks...even in summer. It occasionally snows in July.
