I loved this method! Not only helps to follow along but also to have a good visual perspective of the entire system and its parts. Using these breakdowns helps to review some stuff such as data structures (e.g. tries) and notations! I think the notebook is a very good addition! The drawings are very good and clean. Perhaps in the future, it would be good to draw on a tablet if you intend to change stuff mid-recording/implementation and not ruin the awesome drawings! Keep up the good work Jackie! ^^

Jackie, watching your vlog I always wondered - do you enjoy your work? Do you associate with your work in some sense the meaning of your life?
@CSJackie
Жыл бұрын
I like my job, but don’t expect it to give my life meaning anymore :) I used to have that expectation, but not anymore. I find more meaning in helping my family and close ones, and in being a decent person. I am lucky to have this channel, it also gives me purpose and direction. My small piece of advice would be to let go of unrealistic career expectations - ideally we all want a job with high comp, a positive societal impact and great WLB - however, it’s very rare to find something that ticks all those boxes. Try to find whatever lacks in your career in other areas of your life :)
@adambolotov1809

What sort of libraries would you use for building and also storage and retrieval of the said trie ?
@CSJackie
Жыл бұрын
I think a document store would do for storage, something like MongoDB for example. Then you can leverage the database’s API for retrieval. I didn’t look into specific libraries to build a Trie, it’s a good question 😊 there are a few language specific trie implementations on GitHub but it would require some investigation to recommend something! Thanks for your comment 😊🙏

@@CSJackie haha sorry i'm just jking around. I do get that it's hard to find a good performance laptop at a price that low. But being familiar with the used market of thinkpads, knowing that you can get a dual core 4 to 8 gb ram at around 60-90 pounds made me burst out a laugh. You can upgrade some to quad core even and 16gb ram, but...they're used. So they come with cosmetic or even functional blemishes like missing a key. But for the most part they're cool if you ignore a few scratches here and there. Again don't mind me. Your content's awesome! Explaining how programmers have to come up with a plan.
