Little Larry had all the moves and guitar licks before Chuck Berry why is it that no one has ever heard of them. They are the pioneers of rock and roll!
@RodCalidge

Not quite. For 1 thing, Chuck wrote Johhny B Goode and performed it for years before the Collins kids, so Little Larry definitely did not have "all the moves and licks" before Chuck. Secondly, I don't know of very many songs, If any, that the Collins wrote. I seem to remember them just covering other people's stuff.

I used to watch this kid on TV in the fifties at 5 a.m. and couldn’t figure out why he wasn’t famous. It came on at 5 a.m. in Jackson, Mississippi when there were 2 channels and an antenna was the only way to get them. It wasn’t until I saw him on here that I knew who he was because I had forgotten his name.

Growing up in London during the 50/60s I knew a lot of street musicians, some of them were streets ahead of their 'pop' contemporaries in terms of talent and they, without doubt, inspired better known bands. The last thing they wanted was to be better known or celebrities.

Because musicians Could not OWN there own music, even if they wrote it. The contracts would RIP OFF the artists in favor of the Record Producers and Studios keeping the musicians in the Poor House. The musicians would have to try to sue each other over the COPY RIGHTS. Although I don't know the details, Trump attempted to address this during his time in office with one of his "Presidential Bills" (Sorry I'm Canadian not sure of the proper American name for it)

I hear their record company was "old school" and didn't really know what to do with them. Also, when Lorrie turned 17 she eloped with Johnny Cash's booking agent who was twice her age. Because Jann Wenner and his hand-picked Board only allow their favorites to get into the R&R HOF. There are definitely some people in there who don't belong, and there are still a lot of people (e.g., the Collins Kids, Paul Revere & The Raiders, Iron Maiden, Foreigner, etc.) who are on the outside looking in. The HOF is a joke.

The Collins Kids continued to play together into the 1960s, then separately, and occasionally together, thereafter.
