Thank you for a video series that goes from easy to hard... too many textbooks take something that is already hard and make it impossible.

For part b, since each child gets at least one penny, wouldn't the highest power for the generating function be x^28? No one could attain x^29 or x^30, right?

When we actually solve. we will end up factoring out the x^0 and look at different ways to rewrite the generating function. This is just an intro to get you started.

Is it correct that Orange is (x^7+...+x^25)? Red,Yellow,Blue and Brown are at least one, plus Green at least two, should Orange be : (x^7+...+x^19)? 19 comes from 25-(1+1+1+1+2).
