Love your roses and peonies ,your a romantic soul 😌 . I bought a climber this year called Crown Princess Margarita a peachy orange that smells delicious , and one called Port Sunlight with a really strong scent which is also a peachy orange colour , for some reason I seam to be able to smell that colour more than the others ,although this year I could smell my Lilac for the first time maybe it’s because there’s not as much pollution in the air due to Covid 19 so that’s one good thing ,some folks lose there smell I get mine back ,oh and I also have a rose in my front garden called Tickled Pink which is 7 foot tall and one stem is a bouquet ,Wish we had Smelly Vision 🤗

OMG, that front flower bed is absolutely stunning! Love your rose collection, not a loser in the bunch. That "Queen of Sweden" has exceptional qualities no doubt. But, that discount no name rose next to it looks fantastic, even when most of the petals have fallen off - can't think of another rose I've seen like it. BTW, totally agree with others about your cuteness. And I want your gorgeous hair color!!!! TFS!

I ran across your channel about 2 years ago, when I saw “Tropical Garden in Chicago - August 2015” and “My Walkway Garden - May 2017”. Everything in your gardens looks so beautiful. I noticed you were planting “cheek by jowl” and the flower beds had a full appearance. My front garden is 25 X 27, formed by my house and garage, and a decorative fence in front. I have added more plants in the flower beds so that the bed along the garage has Mexican bush sage, Byron Bay hibiscus, pink butterfly bush, yellow rose, Italian oregano (bees love it) and purple lantana. The bed in front of the fence has a Chaste tree, miniature greenish white rose, miniature purple rose, four pink toned roses along the bed with Russian sage between the roses and pink cone-flowers in front. Along the neighbor’s fence I have bougainvillea in purple, La Jolla, Thai Delight. The front of house has a pink crepe myrtle, a white angel’s trumpet and a ground cover of wandering Jew with dark blue flowers. The plants are happier planted closer together and the garden is now a dream come true!!

I'm a newbie to your channel and grateful for your generosity in sharing your talents. Your white delphinium looks like an Obedient Plant I just bought. Is the Obedient Plant a delphinium? I've tried for about 3 years to grow a delphinium in my garden without luck. They never come back. I live in NW Indiana (originally from Chicago) and wonder if it's our harsh winters. I don't know anyone who has success with delphinium. Please tell me your secret. xoxo
@GetGardening
4 жыл бұрын
Welcome aboard! I am quite familiar with NW Indiana, to be honest, I'm not sure why they have been coming back for me, I am happy they are, they are certainly not super thriving as many other perennials are but are worth it! Obedient is not a delphinium but I am sure it will add a similar feel!

The roses are so beautiful! What state are you in? I’m in Delaware, zone 7a and deal with Japanese beetles. This spring, tiny ants which so far required 2neem oil sprays.. May I request a video on pests and fertilizers in future videos? Thank you for sharing your garden!
@GetGardening

Thank you , I am Chicago Zone 5. Growing up in Indiana we always had the Japanese beetles, here I occasionally see the odd one or two but nothing like what I know they can be like. Therefore, I don't really do anything in terms of sprays. As for fertilizers, I mulch the plants with a good mulch every other year or so but thats all I do!
