The Lazy Eight is the most complex of them all, but damn I love that maneuver aced it during my checkride thanks to repeated viewing and chair flying it with the online ground school videos, it would be great if you make a KZitem video on Tricks to a Lazy 8 \ to achieve a perfect lazy 8 / !

I never did any engine out in the pattern drills for my private pilot in 2016. Working on power off 180s for my commercial now. They’re pretty fun when you feel like you’re drifting the plane in to land while slipping it around the corner to final if you end up a bit high coming in.

Power off 180's can be really fun -- so many small considerations and adjustments every time!

CPL is going to feel so weird after coming from IFR, getting allowed to look outside again! 😂😂 But I'm so excited for Commercial!

The diagonal distance point to point in 8s on pylons does not change but distance over the ground horizontally from the point will change. The bank angle and horizontal distance, and the height above terrain with ground speed all will have that related relationship.

In the video regarding chandelles, you talk about getting the plane just above the stall warning horn... This is how I learned it working on my Commercial. I am now working on my CFI I've started to more closely examine the ACS, and in the ACS it says, "Complete rollout at the 180° point, ±10° just above a stall AIRSPEED, and maintaining that airspeed momentarily avoiding a stall." Emphasis on stall airspeed because of the difference between the speed in which the stall warning horn occurs, and the speed in which an actual stall would occur (can be a difference of 5-10 kts) My question to you then would be, would you still stand behind keeping the airplane just above stall warning horn speed, or above an actual stall as the ACS seemingly conveys. Thanks.

Common man! I just took my check ride on Saturday! This could’ve been helpful a week ago. I passed at leased.

Aids on pylons are a applicable in aerial surveillance surveillance. The problem with the maneuver is the pilot's ability to judge judge altitude visually While maintaining air speed.. While maintaining air speed.. When you are serving a ground object, Your eyes are outside of the planeAnd not paying attention to your instruments.
