Excellent comparison between the two! I was tempted by the 12G but glad I went for the 16 in the end. Love the space!

We just got the 16 as we don't have any need to transport our oven. We're sticking mainly to wood/charcoal/pellet cooking as we have a gas bbq. Doing our first pizza tomorrow!

Hi there! Well my KaruG finally showed up. Still sitting in the box b/c of work and a lack of a good work table to put it on. Would you recommend firing it up for the first go with gas or try wood?

The doors are such a pain! I love the Karu16 but would lean more towards the Koda16 to not have a door to deal with. I assume the Koda gets away with not having a door because it’s lower profile. I know an open door lets out so much heat. I guess it’s a convenience thing. Have you done a comparison video between the Koda and Karu16’s? Gas vs wood? Thanks so much!❤

I hope they never put a door on the Koda 16, if they do, it means it will need a chimney! As it’s gas only I expect that it will remain the same.

@@Got2EatPizza great point! I didn’t even think about the chimney…another pain!😊. Even though I fully love my Uuni Pro with wood/charcoal and can put up with the chimney for the “real deal” of wood fire. Just can’t use it under my deck!😊. That’s where the table top Koda12 comes in!

There is a pizza door add on for the 16 if you don't want to open and close while firing pizzas.

@@SmEdD86 is that for the Karu 16? I know my Uuni Pro 16 has a pizza door so if I didn’t want to open and close the full door, though I’ve never used it much. When the wood fire is hot enough, you can use it with no door at all. I’ll have to look into the Karu 16 again. A slotted door with gas would be pretty good!
