Reverse Strike Attack - Same Side to Cross Side Lift Up
An attack with a forward strike that you can avoid, but then counter stop the reverse strike with a strong check making sure your hips are behind your check. Depending on the distance from the blade there are 3 possible counters by applying a cross side lift, swinging their arm up & "c" clamping their arm out away from their body if the distance is out further.
Here you can twist your hips back into the attacker and drive in with an hard elbow spear & continuous striking, or slightly out further, face rake & move away.
If the attack is very close range, lift under their elbow and drive straight through hitting their face as you move diagonally through their space.
