Excellent design! I hope to visit a Nissan dealer soon. How many miles per gallon do you get with this NV 2500, 8 cylinder. What type of batteries do you use with the solar panels? Where do you keep them? What does it power? Is my understanding correct that you have 2 generating systems? One from the Yetti and one from the solar System? Please clarify. Thanks

Great build, I am turning my nv 2500 build the 3rd time. I am 6ft 1 tall, pls explain where you you get 70inches for the bed? If i lay across the floor my feet will be touching the side door. are you pulling the extension all the way to there?

Thank you , thanks for watching. My platform is 18" off the floor, at that point it is 70" side to side. If you are 6'1" that is 73", you would not be able to sleep straight out. Email me TNV2500NY@Gmail.com I can send you pictures or answer any other questions. Thanks again!!!

I wanted 8 Cyl. RWD. 100K warranty was the clincher. I own two Fords for business , but I felt Nissan was the better choice for the build. No problems, no regrets . Never liked Dodge anything, except the Hemi. Thanks for watching.

Dominique Taylor Thank you. I got the swivel from swivels R us. The process is a bit strange, you need to fill out a form online and pay in full by check or money order. It takes about a month to get, but it is excellent quality, perfect fit and easy install. Happy trails.

Depressing.....This is really, really close to what kind of van build I want. I love the quality, simplicity, and functionality of it. Looking at this video makes me feel like an idiot because I'm nowhere near competent enough to build something like this, or even supervise one. I've got plenty of money, just not the brains or initiative to get this done. Aggghhhh!!!

Thanks for the offer, sir. April is fine; I'm in no big hurry. I've been considering van life for the last three-plus years. I noticed you don't have any added heating or a/c system in your build. Would you be able to put one in mine if I do the research on the systems I'd like to use?

I’ve noticed the newer NV Cargo vans have dropped the ‘ HD ‘ designation / badge. Why is that, are the newer ones less heavy duty ? Also, I heard the tranny went to 7 speed in 2017, before that it was a 5 speed. Any comments on these tranny’s ?
@TNVNY
5 жыл бұрын
Don't know about the badge, the 7 speed Trans. is great. I think that is why the milage is better than past years, I avg. 16.2mpg. No problems going at speed with weight, plenty of power. Very pleased!!

Jonathan Bellows poor mpg maybe? If my research Is correct, I believe the 3500 is only sold with the V8. Overkill for most camper van needs, as The 2500 can tow over 6000 lbs.
