In my second video of the trip to Falmouth I’ll show you the Scottish design of Creel and talk about how I’m going to fish it here in Cornish waters. The big question, will it catch the local lobsters and crabs? You’ll just have to watch the video to find out the answer (I know the thumbnail gives it away but it's a nice photo).
It couldn’t have been a better start the holiday - what a contrast to sitting in traffic jams on the M5 yesterday. As you’ll see from the video, it was great to be out fishing on the Orkney Coastliner. In case you were wondering, Dee was taking a day off from fishing and was enjoying a walk along the coastal path.
The following day the wind had picked up from the East which built up quite a swell. I made my way out carefully to the creel using the lat / long position I'd saved yesterday. Once I'd spotted the marker it was a case of hauling the creel up asap and avoiding being beam on the the sea. I swiftly headed to calmer waters around the headland before I explored our catch.
Apologies for the rather tired looking end to the video - I need a day relaxing before heading back out again. The long drive down to Cornwall from Scotland had got the better of me.
If you have any question please add them in the comments below - I try to reply to everyone.
Tight lines from me and a tail wag from Dee.
