As some one with curly hair the resentment in corpse's voice was 100% justified. The amount of money, time, energy, and pain that go into maintaining curly hair is insane. And even though I love my hair, I HATE the maintenance!

I wondered about that from the moment we saw how curly Corpse's hair is. Like my hair is closer to wavy than curly, fine strands, and it tangles constantly. I don't really style it because that would involve a heck ton more work, but even if I did I don't think it would be as much work as Corpse described. I can't imagine the fight people with legit curly hair have to go through it they don't want a matted mess on their heads.

@@Summer-pm1zg Yea, I'm sure lack of proper care is some of it, though I've never been able to completely banish the frizziness no matter what I've tried. Honestly I don't do much with it anyway. It's either in a braid or twisted into a clip so it's out of my way at work, though I do leave it loose when I'm at home. Leave-in products have just been so iffy; hair feels too crunchy, hair feels too oily, hair hasn't changed but just smells like the product now. I've just given up on extra products/steps and I'm currently cycling through different shampoos and conditioners to see which ones work the best for me.

Good god, this is the most relatable thing I think I’ve ever heard, and I completely relate to his energy here. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had other women say to me, “I hate you”, or they’d, “kill to have my curls”. Yes they can look good but if you don’t manage them right, it looks like you crawled out of a god damn bush. What pisses me off the most is when you find a product that actually works and then it is discontinued. Starting that search all over again is soooo frustrating and expensive.

And if you have no idea where to start then finding tutorials is insane! Like if your hair is fine or coarse that is not the same as how thick your hair is. And that's not touching on curl texture, porosity, PH balance, protein/moisture balance, and scalp care. And even if you get the right products you have to figure out the order to use them in, which ones to use in which seasons, and protecting your hair when you go to sleep. Even then your curls might still be bad because of breakage or that you don't have a haircut that suits the curls. Because people cut hair straight when it's not going to be styled that way, and textured hair specialists tend to be more expensive. I feel Corpse's anger on a subatomic level lol.

That being said, I can only brush my hair when it’s wet and with a wooden comb otherwise my hair gets poofy and statisticy. I can’t straighten or curl my hair because no matter how much products anyone puts in it to hold the shape, it just goes back to my wavy pattern in less than 15 minutes
