I was born and raised in Juneau! We went to Costco every other Saturday! When I was 10 my dad was racing me in the rain to the entrance and accidentally stepped on my yoga pants and I ran right out of them. I was standing there in just my Winnie the Pooh underwear at the entrance totally frozen while everyone giggled and pointed😂

How long do the groceries last your family? Years ago when all our 9 kids lived at home I use to shop at Sams Club. I would compare prices with Walmart (price, size, portions) and found that buying my groceries at Walmart was actually cheaper (most of the time). Doesn’t your produce go bad before you use it all?

This haul will last between 6 months to a year. Some things we will have to get more of and others will last more then a year. We rarely let produce go bad. Sometimes if it seems like its getting close and we can not get to it we will freeze it for soup. Sometimes we will also share with friends. We used to have a Walmart in Juneau, but it closed around 7 years ago.

I don't know how this is possible. We moved from Juneau in Jan 22. I am familiar with normal Costco prices there. Our costco is now in Coralville, Iowa. Comparing prices.... everything was very significantly CHEAPER IN JUNEAU. Often by half price. I am at a complete loss to explain this.
