Yes bechamel is standard in an Italian lasagna, we also call it ‘pasticcio’, which means mess 😄 That sourdough looks awesome! It really makes me wanna get back into making bread, thank you Sarah

After watching this video I tried roasting my cabbage for the first time and it is so good, like probably my favourite way to eat cabbage and one of my favourite vegetable dishes overall. I sometimes make a spicy version with gochujang as well, really good 😊

It's nice to see you posting a little more often. I'm still learning by practicing the fermenting process. Though I now have a couple of quarts of Sour Kraut so just need to get the sour dough starter perfected. Thanks for the inspiration!

my favourite potato salad is roasted. Potatoes, tons of bell peppers, red onion, all roasted then tossed in a red wine vinaigrette dressing with fresh dill. PERFECT in the winter.

wonderful video as per usual; agree with others they are very cozy, comforting recipies. All the recipies are somewhat different and look inspiring and yummy. Watching Back to the future and then Still, Michael J Fox’s film about his Parkinsons, is an experience I would call uplifting.

Thank you for mentioning yondu! I've been looking for a nice fish sauce substitute. I used it for broth in my thanksgiving shepard's pie after realizing I used all my broth. It came out amazingly.

I made your lasagna! I used sweet potato instead of butternut squash because that's what I had, but otherwise it's the same and it's SO GOOD! One of my favorite things I've cooked in a while. Yay fall recipes!

I love mushroom toast and make it very similar but I take the mushrooms to crisp like 2 minutes short of dried. Sooooo good top with tomatoes yummm. I make lasagna with both tomatoe and bechsamel sauce. I layer protein, veggies, and cheese alternating the sauce. It's excellent.

I must say, I also love the roasted quinoa salad idea! I am a big fan of making buckwheat granola (I roast it raw though) and since both quiona and buckwheat are not actual grains I am sure it could also be a great variation of this salad! Plus, warm meals are just so much better in the fall :D

Sarah i challenge you to veganise my double chocolate cherry cake. It’s a basic chocolate sponge with bashed up dark chocolate & cocktail cherries in. It’s absolutely amazing & gooey too. P,S yes, we put béchamel sauce in Lasagne in the Uk. xXx
