You rock Albert!! Thanks for recording and uploading your video. On my 2012 Dodge Avenger SE 2.4L, the CKP (crankshaft position sensor) is located on the passenger side and underneath as you described in a general sense. The heat shield bolt sizes are 13 mm and 10 mm. The crankshaft position sensor bolt size is 10 mm. A person has to disconnect the remote negative battery cable (black connection) BEFORE disconnecting the sensor's wiring harness. The recommended torque for reinstalling the sensor bolt is 7 ft-lbs (or 80 in-lbs). Thanks again Albert for helping with the starting point of finding the crankshaft position sensor.

You're welcome. I think the location varies by year and trim. Which is why I couldn't find mine based on the instructions given by other sources. It worked! All you need is a 10mm and 13mm socket and a socket extension. The 10mm is for the sensor itself and the top bolt on the heat shield. The 13mm is for the bottom bolt on the heat shield. @@Bostonthegreatest So you can jack the car up at the jack points right around where the front doors open. There should be a groove there to indicate it's the jack point. @@yoanirodriguez7390 not sure. Without any codes or anything else to accompany it I can't say. I also hadn't run into any of those issues to know what symptoms they may cause.

Arsenio Nunez try disconnecting the battery for about 30 minutes. It should force a system reboot when reconnected. Hope this helps.

Albert Evans I tried doing that and light came back on with a p0300 , I even disconnected the pcm and still went back on flashing the CKP codes are gone but the only one left is the p0300

Arsenio Nunez I believe P0300 is a nonspecific cylinder misfire. Price and possibly replace ignition coils and spark plugs.

Why do youtube mechanics wait until they pull the part before they turn the camera on... so frustrating.

Well, I'm not a mechanic at all. Secondly I myself had to locate the part. It either helped you or it didn't. Either way, upwards of 100000 people have viewed and possibly found it helpful. What's frustrating is trying to find the part without any video at all. Good day sir.
