Just another datapoint: I'm 71 years old and was diagnosed with Parkinson's five years ago. Since then I've been supplementing with creatine and have experienced a marked improvement in mental functions as well as a significant slowing in the progression of the disease. I've also stacked on a few pounds of muscle so -- it's all good!

I'm a woman in my 50s and have taken C Monohydrate but ohboiii.... the fluid retention wouldn't go away despite taking it for 6 weeks. I hated the puffy look, and my female friends made a comment about it, which made me feel self-conscious. So I stopped taking it and have since "deflated" but had to bear with the unbearable soreness until someone recommended me to take the Hydrochloride form. Well, it is agreeing with me thus far. I'm so happy I tried another type of creatine that actually worked better for me. Happy workout! Cheers! 🏋️♀️💪🙌

Creatine monohydrate really works for our body, based on 20 years OEM service, most of our customers are willing to choose the 200 mesh(micronized) specification, it's high cost-effective for both distributors and consumers.

After taking creatine for around 2 weeks your body is full on it and doesn’t really need much more for some time. So for example my sports science books recommend taking 5g per day at first and then switch it to around 2g per day after a few weeks

In 100 Gram of steak there’s only around 0.5g of creatine so if you eat a lot of meat then yeah kinda
@bryanjones8778
3 ай бұрын
@@AnimoxWolve 100 grams = 3.5 oz. So based on those numbers, eating an 8 oz. steak or burger will give me around 1.75 grams of creatine. According to another site I checked, an 8 oz. piece of lean meat or 4 oz. of salmon will give me 1.5 to 2.5 grams of creatine by itself. So if I multiply that by the three meals a day I eat, that should give me close to what I need without supplementing. My biggest concerns of supplementing are the potential side effects.

What is your take on the false blood results reflecting kidney stress when taking creatine ?
@CrispyCircuits
4 ай бұрын
They are not false results at all. If you actually have kidney problems, then it's a problem. However, creatine will always raise creatinine, so it's no problem if you are healthy. Note that also blood work has a *range* of values. low to high. By taking creatine, you are just raising the high bar a little. It's appropriate. Just like eating super fatty foods right before a blood test will raise triglycerides. Also, as I know from experience, there are good Dr's and bad Dr's Consider carefully if they are good or not. Learn something about the whole creatine system in your body if your are concerned. You don't need to be a Biochemist to understand it. This goes in, turns into that and then this happens, etc. Don't bother trying to understand the fine details. They aren't relevant if you don't want to deeply understand Biochemistry.

When taking creatine, tell your doctor as well as any technician who will call your doctor should you need contrast for some scans and your creatinine value is too high. Stop taking creatine 4 to 6 weeks before your kidney function blood tests. My creatinine returns to base line after 6 weeks of stopping creatine and staying hydrated.

It can also aggravate pre-existing kidney problems. Keep an eye on your GFR value. If it starts droping, stop creatine!
