I did my core curriculum through the Business Career College and finished my Professional Education Program right before the deadline. Preparing to write the QAFP this month. Any recommendations or tips for the exam? Good luck with your exam!!

That's awesome and I've heard great things about BCC. I haven't taken he QAFP exam yet, I'm just finishing up the PEP myself. Would love to know any thoughts you have actually about the final two components though (live interview then the written plan).

@@jessicamoorhouse I found the live interview a little intimidating so I made sure to prepare a lot for it. I reviewed Unit 3 (Discovery) as well as generated a list of possible qualitative and quantitative questions that I could ask (most I found either within Unit 3 or generated/adapted from my own work habits. I also made a list of strategies identified in Unit 3. I think it was referenced as "strategies to ensure an effective and efficient discovery". After I had compiled my full list, I read through the case and picked out which questions I felt were appropriate to ask Li and Judy (assuming the case study hasn't changed) and then tailored my approach around the questions I picked. I found the live interview very similar to a real life interaction I have daily at work so once I was into it, it seemed second nature. I'm not sure if you are actively working in financial planning/investments but if so, it will be a breeze. As for the final assessment, I admittedly rushed the heck out of it over two days as I had to finish the entire PEP in a month in order to meet the deadline to write the exam in October. I found it very difficult as to how to begin as I've never written a financial plan yet so I referenced a lot back to the notes from Unit 4 for inspiration. Do you have a date set for your interview ??

@@wybze Thanks so much for this! I've got a date booked mid-October for the interview so I know I need to start prepping now. I've been working with clients one-on-one as a financial counsellor (I've got my AFCC) since 2017 so I'm not worried about the actual interview, I think that part will be fun. But just like you I was planning on going over Module 3 again so I could take more notes and pre. Thank you! Will make a video about my experience once I hopefully pass!
