A member asks for advise Morning Admin, please post this I'm looking for advice. Engine Oil problems. I have recently bought a 2010 Frightliner ISX530 Cummins with +800 000km showing on the trip control. I'm driving it myself Last week after takung delivery I did a service changed: air filter, oil filter, diesel/water separator element engine oil, gear box oil, diff oil. engine oil (40 L) I then took my 1st load with it 34tons of cement over 220kms. The check engine light appeared and at my arrival I checked the water & oil to my surprise the oil was very low. I then put in 5L to top up and drove back home , went to a local store where I bought the previous service kit. Bought 20L of a oil they say it's from "Mercedes Benz" Its sold from a drum with Mercedes Benz branded on it it's 15W-40 oil. That too did not last I drove 500kms and this morning after checking the oil again is very low I'm starting to worry. I then washed the engine to see for any oil leaks etc after that I toped up the engine with 20L oil and started the engine. To my surprise the oil was coming out of the breather pipe below the truck and when you rev spaters of oil are coming out. Please advise could it be I'm using the incorrect type of brand of oil or could the be a mechanical problem e.g. oil rings etc. That I may need to change. Please advise

If the blow by pipe blowing a lot of oil out of it what could that be the whole side of my oil pan is diluted with oil all way back to the starter I only see the blow by pipe mist

Hi it’s normal water in the ingine an Cummins 2013?

I have a maintenance free filter have you known for them to malfunction
