In This Episode of How It's Done, we will go through the setup of the CV settings for your bell and horn on your Bachman DCC Sound Value Decoder Locomotive. We are using our favorite Alco S-2 again for this demonstration. If you don't know already, I picked up this Loco at the Tampa Train Show back in December from Yankee Dabbler for $65.
Even though these locomotives are inexpensive, they can still be made to perform and sound like a more expensive locomotive with a few setting adjustments to the CV's. In this video we will adjust CV's 114 Bell Ring Rate, 115 Horn Selection, & 129 Horn Volume Control.
Look for a survey at the 12:00 mark about the horn selection;
Wabco E2 (Default)
Leslie A125/A200 Combo
Nathan P3
I can't decide which one sounds better, I prefer the Combo Horn but the Nathan P3 sounds good also.YOU DECIDE!
