I'm impressed with the 10-60% in 20 minutes. That is normally my second charge on a trip. Starting at 90% I can drive for about 3-1/2 hours before I'm down to 10%, and at that point I'm glad to take a 20 minute break.

It reported being “limited by charging station” until 35%. Between high handle thermals and the 250kW max, it still performed very well. I wonder what it would do on a well cooled 350kW station 😁

Tesla needs to work on their 0-80% in 20mins. Spending 30mins in superchargers is ridiculous.

We are so close yet so far from that goal. 😂 My road trip stops are 12-15 minutes anyway. 20 minutes would be just fine.

yea you arent stopping at a supercharger to charge to 80% anyways. Most times you charge at a higher SOC and charge less

I agree for the cyber truck because it's based on a 800v platform. I'd like to see 10-80 in 25min at least. But for other Teslas 30-35min for 10-80 will be the norm due to 400v architecture

They can definitely do it but Tesla is more about protecting the battery for long term reliability which I am all for. The faster you go, the more stress on the battery.

@@ryen7512 there are already Li-Ion batteries that can charge 0-80 in under 15 minutes AND maintain health for 1000+ cycles (found on many Chinese phones). It can be done with today’s technology, but it’s not cheap enough to implement in a large pack yet.

Is better, but we need it to be 20 mins until 80 % to be a good road tripper

Look at the charge curve. If you’re starting at less than 20%, as you are here, it’s going to take a lot longer. They’re pretty clear on the fact that charging is optimized for 20-80% SoC.

It looks like a decent improvement. I'm not certain it can get 0-50% in 15 minutes, but it's close for sure. I'm still disappointed in the 55-75% rate.

I guess since they haven't gave you the lightbar, power share, aerocaps, or FSD. Tesla has to dangle something in front of you to keep you from dumping the cars.

@@GenRicOpekc According to Kyle from Out of Spec, the cabinets that support the V4 terminals are still V3 so it's a hardware limit, not just a software limit. I don't think Tesla is producing any 800 V class cabinets yet. The terminals are future proofed V4 with the longer cables and higher voltage capable, but still supported by 400 V class.

My dude, charging stations are typically just used for roadtrips. I go to sleep with an empty battery and wake up with a full one every night and it only cost me $12 in electricity.
