影片簡介:2022年5月15日起,東鐵由紅磡火車總站延伸過海至金鐘,把九廣鐵路的軌道與港島中西區連接起來。由於紅磡車站的新月台啟用,表定行車時間較使用舊月台時期快約2分半鐘,由上水至金鐘全程行車時間約37分45秒。本片攝於東鐵過海後的首個非下雨天,列車採用正常減速率(0.8m/s/s)進入車站,而非通車當日及翌日下雨時所使用的較低減速率(0.4至0.6m/s/s)。
* 註1:全球衛星定位系統 (GPS) 於較密封的空間下準確度會相當低,因此未能提供行駛該等路段的測量車速或無法顯示準確的車速。
* 註2:畢架山隧道及過海鐵路段的車速以多組信號燈及緊急逃生門的通過時間進行精密計算。

Description: Starting from 15/May/2022, the southern terminus of MTR East Rail Line (former KCR East Rail, before rail merger) has been moved from Hung Hom to Admiralty, which actually extended the rail tracks of KCR (Kowloon-Canton Railway) onto the Hong Kong Island. Since the new platform at Hung Hom station was put into service, the run time has been shortened 2.5 minutes further than before. The video was taken on the first non-rainy day after the new line commenced service, normal brake rates (0.8 m/s/s) were applied when the trains are approaching the platforms instead of a slowed down brake rate (0.4 to 0.6m/s/s) during rainy days.
* Note 1: The accuracy of measurement by Global Positioning System (GPS) is rather low in relatively enclosed space, thus the measured speed are not taken when the train was travelling in the corresponding section.
* Note 2: The travelling speed within Beacon Hill Tunnel and Cross Harbour tunnels were precisely calculated by the passing time of signal lights and emergency cross passage doors.
