This ENTIRE album is excellent for a whole review!!! The 9th Wonder and Just Blaze production really gelled this entire album together and it's very digestible both lyrically and sonically
@noahtovar879
Жыл бұрын
9th Wonder and Just blaze weren’t the only producers for this album. This was supposed to be Jay’s last album so he intentionally used different producers for every single track on the album, 9th Wonder and a Just Blaze did one song each

@@noahtovar879 word, Pharrell is among them too but I just had to mention how well Jay raps over 9th and Blaze productions 🔥 It was those tracks that really made the album feel complete for me, without em it would feel so off

Man I love your channel. I wish you would do a live version to have commentary on some of these rap bars. I was thinking about the line where Jay said you in a drop you so easy to touch, and the 1st and 15th line. There was a lot to those bars that could have been touched on. Nevertheless another great episode.

Great reaction to a great song. I'm sure someone has pointed this out by now, but the "sycamore/more sicker" lines are homage to Biggie, who used the "sycamore/more sicker" wordplay on a song long before this song came out (obviously, since Biggie passed long before this song came out).

Gents, I love your videos. I’m hooked. One request and one comment: Request: Please do more Biggie. Comment: It drives me nuts when you tell your dad you’re going to “show” him a song. “Show” would only work if you plan on “showing” him the album cover, or “showing” him the sheet music or lyrics…or “showing” him how to play it. (“Show” refers to something visual or experiential). Since you’re talking about listening to the song, the phrase should be “you’re going to play him a song” or “you’re going to have him listen to a song.” Not trying to bust balls. Not sure what part of the country you’re from, maybe “show a song” is a local colloquialism. Any how, love your channel, dude.

I turned 39 on December 4th. I have been listening to rap music since age 12 or 13. I was wondering if you heard about an album called The Sharecropper's Daughter from Sa-Roc (2020). To many unknown and to me currently the best female mc without a doubt (Rapsody for oldskool 90's vibes and Snow Tha Product for flow would complete my top 3). I would suggest the tracks Forever, Gold Leaf, Black Renaissance vs Black Thought and Wild Seeds. Greetings from The Netherlands
