+indianabrick - Oh yes, I've always got a cat or two helping, lol. But since her name is Frodo, I think she's stumbled into the wrong fandom ;-)

Hi. Do I still need to make the cape after making the robes? Or it's either a cape or a robe
@Thewoodlandelf
Жыл бұрын
He had both. He wore the robe over his pants and shirt, and then wore the cape over that. If you want skip one, I'd skip the robe and just make the cape instead. The missing robe will be less noticed than the missing cape would be.

i love these vidios, helps me a lot for trying to amke my own, question tho and iv i just missed it in video then my bad. What kind of fabric is it for the robe ?. any kind in particular ??
@Thewoodlandelf
6 жыл бұрын
I don't remember exactly what it was called, but it was kind of a really thin knit There was definitely something synthetic in the fabric mix. It wasn't super stretchy, but there was a bit of a 4-way stretch, which kind of gave it a nice flow when it moved.

What kind of fabric did you use?
@Thewoodlandelf

The fabric was a slightly stretchy suiting fabric I found in JoAnn Fabrics. It'll depend on your size how much you need, but I ended up using a yard and half for the robe (I'm only 5'1" though). It was wide enough that I just used the extra width from the back pieces to make the pieces for the front.

Which part wasn't explicit enough? I'll see if I can do better in future videos (But the cats will keep on helping...whether I want them to or not, LOL).
