A shining beacon has now moved on… His luminance will never leave us… His vision will always enlighten our collective Spirits… He led us down new paths, challenging us… He whispered to us, and called out to our hearts… Bowie leaves us not with an impact… But with an impassioned imprint… A soulful Grace… Bowie was not just Revolutionary… He was Evolutionary… A Hero. And yes…. I weep…..

One of my favorite songs of all time sung by one of my favorite pop icons... it hits me right in the solar plexus of my feels right now. Bowie was a great friend and mentor to them. AF's music always reminded me of Bowie, too, even before I knew they'd collaborated.

WAKE UP Somethin' filled up My heart with nothin', Someone told me not to cry. Now that I'm older, My heart's colder, And I can see that it's a lie. Children wake up, Hold your mistake up, Before they turn the summer into dust. If the children don't grow up, Our bodies get bigger but our hearts get torn up. We're just a million little god's causin' rain storms turnin' every good thing to rust. I guess we'll just have to adjust. With my lightnin' bolts a glowin' I can see where I am goin' to be When the reaper he reaches and touches my hand. With my lightnin' bolts a glowing' I can see where I am going' With my lightnin' bolts a glowin' I can see where I am go-goin' You better look down below.

I agree with you 100 percent..these are the people that don't buy the albums, get into concerts for free, and 'critique' everything and then act too cool to get into a show. Yes, those same people. These are the same people that write for magazines and trashed bands like Rush, Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin and said they had no talent. Yes, those same people. I am so glad that the media thinks they deserve to be sitting close to the stage..and for free probably.
