Good thorough overview. I think the Sparking changes might actually be even more of a buff for him than anyone else, not just because of his mains already knowing how to use them, but also because teams that have him as their win condition will basically just get to use his level 7 self earlier, and instantly. Not as overt changes as someone like Vegito or Trunks, but this character is feasting.

The level up into special buff is for level 6 into 7. You combo into level 7 then dp into jDR for sliding

@@ShaudL helpful mid screen I guess, but he could already get some oki in the corner after the change to level up’s hitstun. Still I’ll note it for my “missed bits” video

I really don't get why people are shitting on this patch. It seems like every character has new/improved tools and there's more things you can do in general. Yes, there are broken things, but DBFZ is a tag fighter, it's pretty standard for those to be chaotic and crazy, that's the point. People LOVE UMvC3 and that game's one million % crazier - infinites, X-factor, Vergil, DOOM, Pheonix, Morrigan, game-breaking glitches, etc. The argument one could make is that Marvel 3 is a more difficult game to play, but it really only applies to movement tbh. Vergil, DOOM, Pheonix are fusions level of easy to play and beyond broken. There are PLENTY of easy-to-pull-off infinites. Doing ABC X-factor combos and killing 3 characters is easy. Plus, that game wasn't supported by Capcom AT ALL, they dropped the ultimate version 6 months after MvC3 released. And as I said, people ADORE that game, flaws and all. What's stopping this community from doing the same thing?

@@andrewgrime8389 i was doing some granblue comms the other day and chatting with my co commentator. He had a take that made me think about things; “If DBFZ dropped like this, no one would care. They’d roll with it” I can relate to people liking one version and set of rules for the system mechanics over another. I think a big issue is the lack of communication regarding the why behind the changes; ever since Bandai said “more viable in scrambles” they have never elaborated on why they made changes ever again. I think people then look at a change in a vacuum and not try to pick apart the actual implications. I think in this patch, most of the full screen normals are there for new combo routing purposes and aren’t usuable in neutral, with a few exceptions. I think people latch on to negative energy put out by people that don’t like certain things. That’s my thought anyway. I certainly was doomer on this patch but the more I look through it, the happier I am with it. It’s just hard when DBFZ has had a rough few years.

@@cdmangakaImo the game has always been f’d. They just keep making it more and more f’d. The way they’ve addressed nearly every issue is by adding more issues. Love this game ultimately, but it’s kinda just beyond impossible to take it seriously haha.

Hell yea. Bardock next pls... just a heads up, his 214X change is considered a buff for mix purposes. It's harder to block now because there isn't as much of a tell
