Your shoulder mobility is amazing. I know this isn't the "cool" part of the video, but as a PT I have to say: "WOW". Keep it up, Meg. Maybe a video on how to improve shoulder mobility? That'd be something to look forward to

Meg I appreciate how you emphasize shoulder health with barbell training and also show substitutions for barbell exercises. I had a head-on collision in 2014 that left me with shoulder/biceps injuries, surgeries and a long recovery. I have permanent limitations, but I have progressed so far. I have had to modify/substitute on many exercises due to limited range of motion in the shoulder, pain and weakness...but I am alive and well and pushing through! 💪🏾🙌🏽 We must be kind to the shoulder joints!

I'm so impressed with your progress! I'll think more about adding in substitutions into these type of videos - thank you for the perspective. I have a few shoulder health exercises, but I bet you've seen them in physical therapy! We like I-T-Y-W, Blackburns, and anything on the crossover symmetry setup!

Re: Brett Contreras I had a back injury immediately followed by a knee injury and couldn't squat or deadlift for just over 4 months, not heavy (or even moderately heavy) anyways. I was able to do some goblet squats and some hex bar hip hinges eventually; but, what got me through most of it maintaining the majority of my strength was the Brett Contreras' glute band circuit. I had never done any focused glute work before and I really believe that building the strength just using bands allowed me to start off squatting and deadlifting again not too far from where I left off. I highly recommend it. I even still use it as a finisher after squatting.
