Unsullied is the best way to watch this movie. It's a reward for anyone entrenched in comicbook and film culture over the last 30 years. I've never felt more seen.

So unsullied I haven’t seen any comicbook movies from the last 30 years

What this movie showed is how Deadpool can be in non-Deadpool movies and not derail it. The Wolverine throughline was consistent all the way through. I think Deadpool can be in, like, an Avengers movie, and the serious story (such as it might be), will be unaffected.

I generally avoid Marvel movies but went to see this one because I like Hugh Jackman-- it's impressive to me that this movie had so much packed in it for people immersed in the culture, but also was super entertaining for a viewer like me who knows just the basics

It was like a coke fueled kid playing with their action figures. Perfect summer popcorn fun.

This movie is like if LucasFilm had made Space Balls.

I hated the first two Deadpool movies. I loved this one. I felt the humor in the first two were Big Bang Theory-level low-hanging fruit. Jokes that any comic book person had made decades earlier. Jokes we ALL made already. This movie had humor that was topical, on-point, and upper-tree fruit.

Great review as always. One of my favorite things to do is to see a new movie in theaters then listen to the filmcast review on my drive home. The cameos that occurred in the void absolutely shocked me. I never in my wildest dreams thought I would see any of those actors portray those characters in a movie. It was gasp after gasp after gasp in that scene with shout and fist pump when the older character walked on screen. I gotta disagree with Jeff on the mask though. It's a cool moment but the longer it was on the worse it looked to me. Something was just off with the eyes of the mask. Which is weird since the eyes on the deadpool mask look great.

Regarding Fantastic 4. Surely it will just be a different universe.

As a movie-movie... it's thin. It's most likely terrible. But as a DEADPOOL movie... is simply fantastic. Yes, I think both things can coexist.

Love your enthusiasm, even if I hate superhero movies and won’t see ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’.

I like your podcast, listened for years, but this movie is a turd. Aside from Wolverine, this is annoying and insanely dumb.

I will never understand why fully grown adults care so much about spoilers from a comic book movie. It’s pathetic. Oh and this “film” is terrible and most people won’t realise that until they get over their infantile honeymoon.

How's it pathetic? I want to experience it in the movie, in the moment, and not months ahead of time.

@BizznessBoxI disagree that cameos are interested. Jackman saved this thing, he was really good. Along with Reynolds, seeing those was the only enjoyable aspect of D&W.
