Zimmerman addresses the problem of temporary intrinsic properties - how one thing can seemingly have two contradicting properties due to differences over time. In doing so, he affirms Presentism - the view that the only things that exist are those that exist now. He also emphasizes the relationship between presentism and tensed language, such as in the statement, "I was sitting, but now I am not."
