Oh throne, this is a deep level of existential horror.

You know, when GW makes a stupid retcon that adds nothing good and confuse everyone, it's probably best to just act like it didn't exist. And that iss why I believe that the daemon never left Fulgrom's body and that his soul wandered in the Warp until it found the cloned body made by Fabius Bile

That's the point they never retconned that people forget that daemons are pathological liars of the worst degree people just lack critical thinking skills

As far as I know that is the case. A shard of him chose it in the end. But his noble and honorable shard is still the one on clonegrim. Only his negative shards are still in „his“ body. What the demon did shattered his soul and only the shards of vanity and power hunger and the like returned and chose to stay with the 4. all the noble parts were lost till clonegrim

Ghazghkull on a revenge mission to kill Angron + Clonegrim on a revenge mission to kill Fulgrim = One kick ass story
@muttproductions2536

Now I have the mental image of Clonegrim (the real Fulgrim now) making a rather uneasy but mutual alliance with Ghazghkull Thrakka, where Fulgrim (and possibly whatever forces he was able to take with him, be it from the Solemnance Galleries or from his travels since) will help Ghazghkull Thrakka and his forces in defeating Angron. Fulgrim could at least use the opportunity to somehow capture his brother's uncorrupted soul from his corrupted body to ensure it never goes to Khorne. In exchange, Ghazghkull and his forces will not only help Fulgrim in defeating Fauxgrim (the daemonic prince of Slaanesh), but also to deal some serious, possibly permanent damage to She Who Thirsts, such that, it wouldn't truly destroy her, but would be such that she likely would never fully recover from, much like how Nurgle never fully recovered from the mass conflagration of his garden by the Emperor of Mankind. It would also have the unintentional side effect of releasing the captured Aeldari Cronesword back to the Ynari, but it would probably still be a boon for all parties considered, even for the Imperium, as now Ynead could act like Cegorach and revive the Ynari in a similar fashion to how Cegorach revives the Harlequins.

IMO the real problem is that even people IRL took it's words for it like who says that it wasn't the daemon still possessing fulgrim that was lying to them once again? Lucius? The guy was already deep in slaaneshi corruption people forget that outside of vashtorr daemons are straight up incapable of not lying. Which would also explain why clonegrim is still a loyalist in the first place
