Shout out to 'Tarnished Archeologist' for coming up with the Varna Necropolis connection. Please head over and check out his channel!! He makes very thought-provoking and interesting observations if you didn't know about him already.
Although that part of the argument TA makes does make sense, I do pivot forward with the red tinge of primordial gold instead as I do not believe the conclusion of the Varna necropolis logic coincides with Greater will being the outer god of Farum azula.
I think dragon's red lightning is telling of a different power and outer god of Farum azula and the yellow gold we do observe in Farum azula is not representing the red tinge which only existed in an immaterial form. There is no reason that the twinbird which represented both life and death in its metaphysics didnt embody the yellow gold (life) and red tinge of gold's power (death) simultaneously. Explaining the existence of both yellow gold and red power of gold.

During the earliest period of history, all life originated from the crucible, the primordial form of the Erdtree, within which the aspects of every living creature was blended together.
The crucible’s primal vital energies give rise to a new species with every imaginable combination of traits: amphibian, avian, septilian, mammalian and countless others besides.
The lands were dominated by beasts who had gained intelligence, as well as ancient dragons whom they served. Dragonlord Placidusax has said to be have been presided over this era long before establishment of the Golden Order as the first elden lord.
However, the fledgeling planet was not alone in the vast expanse of the cosmos and before long, a host of outer gods and fell creatures of the starry void, took notice of its existence and exerted various degrees of influence over the young planet and its civilizations.
Of these entities, the Greater will played the most direct and significant role in shaping the new world. And is sent to have sent a golden star to the Lands Between bearing a beast which was the living incarnation of order and later become the Elden Ring.
To spread its teaching, and cement its control over the populace, Greater will relied on bizzare hand like creatures collectively known as the Fingers, which served as both its missionaries and enforcers.
After a long and brutal times of conflict, this lead to an establishment of a theocracy dedicated to the Golden Order. A system of absolute laws embodied by the Erdtree and sustained through the Elden Ring’s power.
In this video, we'll explore who this outer god of Farum Azula is and how important the Twinbird is to understand Godwyn and his deathroot.
