This performance...man, no words are enough to describe it. Deep Purple are the kings live. Ritchie, Paice and Lord aren't human.

Bought this lp in 1984 my God it was like hearing a different band. Ritchie was on fire. Still my favourite live lp over Made in Japan, sorry purists.

I got four different version of this song, the studio version, made in Europe, live in California and this one. This one is the best.

Go attend the Glenn Hughes plays classic deep Purple, incl an hal hour version of this song. It wont dissappoint you. Worth the price of the tiicket just for this song.

IMO Jon Lord had his best Hammond sound during this period. He backed off the Marshall just a bit, brought more of the Leslie tone to the front. Great grinding goodness! Great version of a great tune! Thanks for posting.
