I was at this performance, they told us to not make to much noise cause it was on tv and they wanted the band to play without interruption cause it was on tv so everyone could watch it and hear chinos vocals , they told us to cheer at the end of the song only

Chino has the best voice for raspy, heavy and melodic. No one can do it quite like him. Deftones have stood the test of time and I still love them in 2020. RIP Chi Cheng.

Abe's beat is the best consistent part of this song. With Chino's chorus peppered in for flavor. This song is 3 chords on repeat but they pull it off cause it feels like more. I hate and love that that is a pun...

@@agdrummer2610 yes its basically a hip hop loop. It doesn't need to change, its a stylstic decision. I personally enjoy the repetitions and hearing the subtle deviations evolve along the way.

Yea what helps them hold up from other rock and metal bands from the time what that they were just straight up no gimmicks. Not that there weren’t other bands like that at the time (Tool, SOAD, Mastodon, Gojira) but Deftones really did have a true sound that was all their own.

I dont see a problem at all with the crowd standing like card board cut outs. This song almost requires you focus solely on just how haunting it is, it makes you go somewhere else in your head. RIP Chi.

What I love about this performance is the actual difficulty hitting those notes on the chorus and Chino hits them for the most part. The thing with their music is it is all pretty hard to sing live vocally. Deftones forever!!!

lucky....i love me some Deftones, but they ALWAYS sounded muddy and brown noisy when i saw them...Pantera now, they are top 5 live band ive ever seen. up with Maiden, Rage Against the Machine, Muse and Tool.

First time was in 96 straight outta high school in Orlando at the Embassy met the guys after the show prolly seen em a dozen times since then most definitely one of the most influential bands of my life I feel like I tell my kids stories like my dad's led zepplin stories..... Deftones is my Led Zepplin
