Krister Andersson The show also doesn't portray humans as (generally) the dominant military power; nor the most 'perfect' race in terms of morals. It's refreshing. I liked Star Trek TNG - but it was an ode to human arrogance, a lot of the time (let's not even start on the original Star Trek series). In 200 or 400 years (assuming we aren't wiped out by a catastrophic event), humans will still be humans. The technology will naturally improve (probably). But there are absolutely no grounds at all (considering we can't even make it to Mars yet), to think we'll somehow be leaders of the galaxy, technologically (if we've even met any other aliens by then). We will still have brave people; various other positive character traits, etc. But we'll still have crimes; antisocial character traits and impulses, etc., too. We can only hope wars are reduced - but that is by no means guaranteed.

@Ruosteinenknight
4 ай бұрын
It kinda makes sense since Centauri men are expected to be representative of their houses prestige and power....which kinda tells that when Londo's hair crest was poorly maintained like a rake and wearing garish suit, that he just didn't really give a fuck that point. It's only after he started to gain influence and prestige that he started to pay attention to his looks. And their social norm about using alcohol is even more relaxed than humans. While they still consider outright drunkedness to be inaprioriate, they have far more normalized relationship with alcohol, up to a point that sobrierity is considered a vice.

Wide tooth combs for gentle, slow, but less breakage, untangling of knots and snags , semi-wide gall tip brushes for getting the rest out. Fine tooth combs for additional smoothing; maybe some serum? Let the hair dry as naturally as possible, and then style as your bone allows. Done. Way to go, Ivanova.

Shame you didn't include the pay off to this scene. We see a short while later in this episode Delenn's hair in curlers as Lennier comes in. The result is he is extremely confused by the whole concept of hair and hair care. It's little scenes like this one littered throughout Babylon 5 that makes it so great a show. We get to se the little moments, those ones that aren't important to the plot but help us to emphasise with the characters, to learn more about them as people. Their lives aren't ongoing disasters with every little bit adding the epic tragedy that is existence. We'll see two people sharing a drink, others a brief laugh and sometimes just an uncomfortable moment in a lift.

Delenn’s hair is the biggest plot hole in the series. She’s got a bony ridge going around part of her skull but sometimes the hair seems like it has to be tucked under it like a headband but that can’t possibly be right unless the head bone only contacts her skull at the temples. Put it up there with Swedish meatballs on the list of universal mysteries that would drive one insane.

I used to think that the Minbari crest is directly connected to the skull throughout its arc, but only recently have I figured out that the crest is basically a pair of conjoined antlers. Can't tell if there's an air gap between the scalp and the crest, but that seems to be the case with post-transformation Delenn. 20 years, and only now I get it. This is why this show was so amazing. Galactic peril and hair care all in the same episode, Life in the future is just the same as today, panic, trouble and hair care. Also Friendship, Only Ivanovna could fix Delen's hair.

This scene and the motorcycle ride through the station stuck with me the most, haha.

It's these little, real human(oid) moments that turn a good series into a great series.

Это самая офигенная сцена в этом сериале, Деленн бесподобна!!! Иванова - чудесна. Добро пожаловать на Землю! :)))

This one was almost as funny as the time Delenn commented to Ivanova that she was "...getting these odd cramps.". the look of terror on Ivanova's face was priceless. 😨...(😹) I think it might of been at the end of this episode, but thats just a guess.

I wonder if there was a deleted scene where Ivanona stops the lift and goes to explain the human anatomy. After some time passes, you see the lift door open with a very shocked and disgusted looking Delenn stay on the lift while Susan leaves with an awkward look on her face.

I always loved this scene. It was so rare to see Delenn so completely flustered like this that it made for an amusing change of pace, even if only for a moment.

"I trust you" Anyone hearing D'len say that to them would instantly know how important the situation is. It's not something she would say without truly meaning it

Sheridan & Talia, how they stand there a brief moment, reminds me of Wing Commander with Mark Hamill, John Rhys-Davies, Malcolm McDowell, Jason Bernard, Tom Wilson & Robert Rusler. And yes, the Robert Rustler from Babylon 5. =)
