I bought this bike a year ago it took 6 months to recieve. When I received it the GPS and speedometer didn't work. For two months they tried to convince me it was my fault not doing something right. It turned out that it wasn't me They then wanted me to install a stabilization kit and I finally pleaded with them to take it back and fix it. They agreed to fix the GPS, the speedometer, and install the stabilization kit. They have had the bike for over four months and did nothing but let it rust. They informed me they are waiting on parts for the GPS system, and when I asked about everything else they would say the bike was fixed on multiple occasions. Now in response to my complaint the bike wasnt fixed at all, they say to me that I never told them about the speedometer or the stabilization kit, there are dozens of emails we had in regards to exactly that. Like I said, it's been a year since purchase, I essentially just got my bike and it's worse than when they said they fixed it. I don't know if this is some kind of a joke to them, its nothing but stress for me. In theory I would love the bike and the company, but in reality they have been terrible to deal with and here a year later I have a the same problem, now rusted over(minor issue really). I will add that they said I could take it to a shop to have it fixed and they would cover the cost, one of the reasons they had it shipped to them, I can't find anyone. I was patient at one point, but now I'm also a nightmare to deal with so I'll give them credit for that. That bike is smooth, fast. I don't think there is another bike out there like this, it's pretty nuts. I can't say I don't want the bike, but I really don't know how to feel or what to think.

I've a few gripes myself, mad bike but they need to sort out the noise from that controller and the cassette is really loud. I like my bikes completely silent, pure sine or nothing at all at the very least a smoother modified sine. I do like the power of course that's nuts. But 155lbs is insane. They need to move to aluminum and composites, for a weight comparison, mine has 3kw aswell, heavy 1-2kg sinewave controller, 1.5kwh battery full suspension and weighs 55-60lbs (38kg whatever that converts to) i know I can't put out 14kw but that's just a different battery that would add maybe 5kg. First of all you have done a nice review on the bike but what I noticed you have the back light on seat post installed wrong it should be turned 180 degrees the other way and hook it up on seat post. The current model you are reviewing is actually one year newer than the model I have so I don't have the carbon belt or the high beam headlights. I stand 6ft 1 and the bike is a good fit to me. Yes my experience with the mirrors are pretty much the same you are experiencing especially the right mirror. One thing my bike has are bump stops installed on the forks which do prevent the bike turn to far doing damage to the frame I haven't watched the video in it's entirety because currently working but if I have other things to point out I will definitely do so. In order to get into the display settings you need to double tap the "m", button twice really fast then you are into the display. Just check my bump stop on my bike and they look like yours but maybe my sizes seem a little larger and The Top 3.0 weighs 4 pounds less than my bike and the battery case seem to taper a little high and away from bump stop when looking at my bike. You did teach me something about the bike that I wasn't aware of and that is when in PAS, mode didn't know you could adjust the assist to higher levels. Good job

The handling of speed is perfect and the 1 shock bike frames not the right frame for fast e bikes and should be obsolete of builds soon as more people will find out using 2 piece dual shock bike frames like Enduros the way to build and many brands cheap but limited of tire size of only fitting no more then 2 inch wide tires..

My one concern with this bike design is the belt. Since there is a rear shock, there should be some sort of tensioner for the belt. Since the rear geometry of the bike changes constantly, the constant loosening and stretching of the belt will prematurely wear it down. I know they are much stronger than chains (I have a belt on my Priority 600) but such forces need something to compensate for them. Otherwise, the design is pretty practical.

Great to hear the PRICE mentioned at the start! Instead of waiting till the end of a video.

From 200 miles to 30-40miles? I saw the video for the Guinness world record. I don't know how fast they were going but it was just throttle and they removed the pedals

That kickstand noise is driving me bonkers..!
@bcancienne

All that noise was caused from you removing the mount screw out of the cable mount above the front fender. They probably should have an adapter if it was in the way of the fender.
@Vectorebike

One more, have you noticed a noise from the motor when the bike is accelerating ? It is because controller is square wave and not sinus wave type controller. If you want quiet motor work, you need sin wave controller
@TysonRoehrkasse

There's a lot of noise from the rear hub motor, even smaller hub motors tend to make quite a bit of noise. I don't think the controller is the cause, I've ridden hub motor bikes with pure sine wave controllers and the hub motors still make plenty of noise :(

What happens if you palce 20-24 inch fat-bike tires. Will it consume more energy to ride or it will interfere with speed due to the large frame tires?

If an ebike has a powered rear hub motor, it doesn't matter how many speed the bike is, correct. If I'm only using throttle not pedal assist the performance would be about the same on any bike. Am I right?
@TysonRoehrkasse

Correct, the motor doesn't interact with the pedaling drivetrain at all :)

do you think with pedal assist you coould make it up toward Red Feather from Fort Collins? I live halfway between in livermore and just got a Pedego for the wife. Looking for something like this for myself. Also do you ever sell used bikes?

This suspension fork does have bump stops LOL you just don’t have it turned so it’s engaging on the frame
@TysonRoehrkasse
3 жыл бұрын
There are some very small ones and they are set correctly, but they don't help at all, you can see them at 9:46 :) EDIT: Gave it some more thought and I think you have to be right, re-watching my video I think if I had them turned right it should work right. I honestly didn't even notice them on the fork since they are so small :( I'm away from home on a family trip now, but I do still have the bike at home for another week or so. I'll try adjusting the bump stops when I get home and report back!

I’m curious to know whether you think the price is justified. Also do you have any knowledge on quality control ?
@TysonRoehrkasse
3 жыл бұрын
I think it's reasonable for the quality of the components, premium stuff throughout. Build quality was great for some stuff, some others like the front fender colliding with the brake lines made me scratch my head and wonder if anyone at Delfast actually tried riding it fully assembled. Some companies do lots of QC testing but each component gets tested in isolation, could be something like that. I do think the components will last a long time. I wouldn't buy one because I'd rather have a pure motorcycle, or a pure ebike. The Delfast is cool for being able to do both, and I can see how that will appeal to some people, I'm just not one of them :)

I spent 7k and have not been able to ride this bike . I am so sad that I wasted all this money on this horrible Experience. The pedals are so high that no matter how high the seat is ( much too high ) i can’t get both feet on them . I am 5’6 and j would love to know if anyone else has a problem with the seat height vs the pedals ? I can’t believe I through out this money. The company is of no help

6.7k!!?? Omfg, this is so wildly cost inefficient for the performance. I can’t even get behind using it as a lifestyle accessory because it just comes off as a dirt bike poser at best, guy that got a DUI and doesn’t have a license for a motorcycle/car at worst. Sorry, 6.7k again… WWHHHAAAAAATTT!!!???

The mirrors are pointing up instead of bent out and down.. no wonder you can't get the use or them. Fix it or swap them out.. use throttle to start out and not peddling.
