Delhi's IGI Airport, Several Hospitals Receive Bomb Threats Days After a Scare At Schools
Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport and at least 8 hospitals received bomb threats via email on May 12. Police and bomb disposal squads were deployed at Terminal 3 of the airport after being informed in the evening. Earlier, in the afternoon, search teams were also deployed at the Burari Hospital and the Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital after they received threatening emails. Officials later said that nothing suspicious was found. Several other airports across the country received similar threatening emails that mentioned explosive devices including Jaipur, Bhopal, Lucknow and Jammu. Security agencies conducted thorough searches but found nothing suspicious. Earlier this month, over 150 Delhi schools received similar "hoax" bomb threat emails.
