We'll see what the Wyse 3030 has inside, take a look at the case, install Debian.
I have very mixed feelings about this terminal, because despite the undeniable advantage of low energy consumption and low operating temperature, the decisions made by the designers did more harm to this structure than it helped.
Only one SO-DIMM DDR3L slot, only one USB 3.0, mini mSATA nightmare, and at the same time not a bad processor. I really don't know if it's a good device or not. You can definitely find better ones.
The terminal used is a Dell Wyse 3030 with a Celeron N2807 1.6-2.2 GHz dual-core processor
The thin client has:
- 2 DVI sockets,
- 3 USB 2.0 slots,
- 1 USB 3.0 port,
- 1 SO-DIMM slot for DDR3L (Low Voltage) memory
- mSATA slot - but with room for an mSATA MINI module - a full-size mSATA drive will not fit without modifications to the heat sink
The dimensions of the case are 19 x 12 x 3 cm
Power supply - 12V, 3A (note that connecting the 19V power supply will damage the terminal!) With a 5.5 x 2.1mm plug without an additional pin
The energy consumption for my unit is:
- idle: 3.9 [W]
- full load: 8.8 [W]
Default BIOS password for Wyse3030: Fireport
