Man, I'm so glad I got to see your test run of the D2s. I think I'm going to check out the D4. Thanks for your info.

Those don't look like they are properly aimed.

Useful video, thank you for that. The main technical interest in these lights seems to be the dimming feature. I think I will stick with PIAA!

If it's lighting up sign's they are not aimed properly.. they have two modes. Spot and flood 😊

Many thanks for your review! I believe you have great stock lights on your Capanord. How much bulbs used in stock? 2? 3? And are they stoch halogen or xenon / led? Also can you please specify, does your Denalis work in high intensity mode on this video or low intensity?

Ive had mine on my bike for 3 years and neither one has turned yellow or dimmed....also I couldnt really tell any difference in the spots and floods....in fact..sub $20 led pods I have bought on flebay put more light down the road than these $350 denalis..but I did buy mine 5 years ago when there wasnt much option like today

I've ordered a set for my Moto Guzzi. Just curious, what lenses have you installed and have you tried adjusting the aim? I usually ride in the city but there are a few spots where some additional lighting is needed. However, if I was doing rural riding, looking for deer and blind/sharp turns......I'd probably go with their next step up. At $300 JP Cycles, they're certainly expensive but I won't waste $100 on some cheap Chinese knockoffs.

Can they be used without the regular headlights? With just the d2 lights on the bike are they legal to ride with?

I'm late to this video, but I have a question as this illumination seems very different than what I've seen elsewhere. How were the trioptics setup? These lights can be configured as spots or floods. It sure looks to me as though they are operating as floods in this video. I'd appreciate clarificatioin.

With approximately 1100lumens per light it is hard to notice any visual difference in how they illuminate they road unless the light is very well focused and also well aimed. How did you aim the lights (high beam configuration or low beam)?

I pretty much split the difference. BTW, I have since incorporated Rigid Ignite single led pods on another GS using a bracket I fabricated that shares the same mounting location as the front blinkers. It’s a far superior light in my opinion.

Hi ya I get the idea you are disappointed? I bought the D4 and I have to say they are bright to look at in fact blinding but I’m still disappointed to the light throw of them. I had considered the DM’s but thought Denali have got their prices all wrong. And the extras don’t help.

The question is ( are they worth $350-$400 with mounts?)

No they aren't worth it. They've actually gotten worse. One unit went yellow. I since put a set of Denali D4 on my GS and they put out the quantity of light I wanted exactly where I wanted. So far no issues. I'll probably get a set for the Caponord.

The lights should be pointed two feet off the ground at a distance of twenty five feet away the DR1lights are better
