More parts removed and inspected. Put the micrometer on the crankshaft and very little wear on the rod journals so going back in with standard size bearings. As I mentioned in the video, I did have enough liner kits to overhaul this engine before I started, but there were some things I just didnt know I would need. So after many phone calls and text messages I think I have everything lined out from connecting rods to new injectors, and sending the cylinder head off to be reconditioned. With the very limited availability of cylinder gaskets, I cant take a chance on the cylinder head not being 100% . Although the 6-110 was a robust and reliable engine, the advent of the v series Detroit engines provided the same power or more in a lighter and more compact footprint so its production ended in 1965. Parts were produced up into the late 80's but are getting scarce. You dont just call up a dealer and place an order, you have to do some leg work.
