Just a DIYer, so I did purchase the JRready crimper. It works for me so far with zero issues. It didn't include directions, but a quick YT search answered my questions. After some trial and error, I found that setting the open edge of the terminal flush with the crimper opening places the crimp in the center of the crimp area. All crimps are very tight with no looseness or play. Made about twenty crimps yesterday without any problems. I haven't noticed any 'slop' with the handle but I will make it a point to check. But so far, so good.

i recently bought one of these style of crimpers from a company called iwiss it came with the different size turrets and is similar to the jr ready crimper. it didnt come with the instructions but they were on the website. it was $140 ive used it twice now and i have to say it works really well considering the price.

I just received my JRready New DT2 crumpet tool (in a kit) I got ZERO instructions of Manual. I REALLY appreciate you making this video. I think nh tool is newer than the one you showed. The one I got doesn’t have any play at all , it feels well made, but the actually printed ( NEW DT-2 colorful hand crimping tool) on it. I am assuming that is because it looks like someone splattered SILVER paint on it.??????. I wish they would have sent me instructions instead of wasting time and money on the lame paint stuff. I didn’t even know what the Green gauge was until I saw it in your video and looked at some other videos. Thanks for letting me know that I didn’t buy a POS . I am going to try to get in contact with JRready to see about a manual &or instructions. Once again THANKS

i feel the jr ready makes a stronger impression when crimping. Not sure thats a good thing but looks a little better

We bought a JRready for work and it's indistinguishable to me from the option from Deutsch. I've been using these Deutsch crimpers for 15 years and I can't tell the difference.

What is the difference of using that version of the jready vs the crimper with turret positioner? Looks like the jready also sells the deutsch crimper with a turret head

With the turret you don't have to set the depth. That's about it. Faster change from size 16 to 20.
