Great food we guyanese call the dasheen bush eddoe leaf calaloo and it's very tasty love it and the dhall mix with it omg along with some hot pepper sauce 👍🏽yummiest

I love the design of your kitchen- all your cooking tools are wonderful. You are a great teacher, and we understood everything you said. Thanks for speaking slowly, and we enjoyed the care in which you prepare your dishes. We don't have all the same provision you mentioned, so we substituted Spinach for Dasheen, and used russet potatoes for some of the provision. We do have Cassava in our latin aisle in our super market. We ordered your spices from Amazon and E-bay and drinks like Sorrel/Mauby are available on line. We have tried salmon/crab fritters, and was wondering if you can make some Oyster fritters. We do have canned biscuits in our Dairy aisles for making dumplings: they come 12 to a can. We rolled them out in flour, cut them in to smaller pieces and make our dumplings that way. We tried split pea soup and chicken and dumplings. Arlene thanks for your cooking show.

Your Ital food made me hungry from Toronto I am borned guyanese.guess I can put some coconut milk and shrimp in thedasheen leaves.here in Toro use thick leaves spinach or Poie bagie.you are a pretty Trini cook

Hmmm.. The dhal will be taken to another level of deliciousness if you chunkay the garlic, onions, WHOLE geera and hot pepper, then cover the pot when it's added for a few minutes. Promise you - it will go to another dimension of deliciousness.

Looks delicious. It would like much nicer for plating, if you had made a shaped bowl of rice and poured the dhal in , but thats just a personal choice for me presentation wise...

Leonard Henderson bay.. it's a hard find in the states but I've gotten then in the Caribbean or African shops. However you can use spinach. Some people do it like that. Thanks for watching and happy cooking. Please share pics
