Sick Seconds 1.0 was back in Hot Rod Drag Week competition for the first time since 2018. We were at Darlington Dragway for day one and we had a lot to figure out. Much has changed with what was once the world's quickest street car, and we had to experiment with each run to learn what worked.
Steve Morris was making changes throughout the day to get the car to a point where it would get down an ever-changing race track. He has a lot of SMX motors (like those found in Cleetus McFarland Mullet El Camino) here this week, but we are using a big block Chevy he built.
There was lots of heat and moisture in the surface that made the startline tough for everyone, but we made it work in the end and were able to take the lead for day one.
In this video we also speak with the leading contenders so you can hear from them and check out what else cool was going down the track? Is there any car you want to see in the videos? Let us know.
